The new System-40 BTU
Measurement System provides
highly accurate and reliable
thermal energy measurement in
heating and cooling systems. Its
compact, no-moving-parts
design and low cost make it
ideal for sub-metering heating and cooling costs in condominiums, retail shops and mixed use facilities. BACnet MS/TP or MODBUS RTU outputs are available. 3 Auxiliary pulse terminals can be configured for pulse input, pulse output, a combination of both, or even with a single analog output. 

Features include:

  • Available for use in pipe sizes ranging from 1⁄2” through 21⁄2” in diameter.

  • No-moving-parts flow meter design with excellent accuracy and turndown.

  • Precision matched platinum RTDs for accurate temperature measurement.

  • Native BACnet MS/TP or MODBUS RTU are available with auxiliary pulse terminals configurable for either pulse inputs, pulse outputs, a combination of the two, or even a single analog output.

  • EN1424 compliant

ONICON F-5500 Thermal Mass Flow Meters

ONICON’s F-5000 Series
Thermal Mass Flow Meters
provide accurate mass flow
measurement of natural gas,
compressed air and other
industrial gases. The proprietary
design measures mass flow
directly and does not require
additional pressure or
temperature compensation to
deliver accurate flow rate and
total data. The F-5500 is
available as an inline or an
insertion style meter and
includes an easy to operate user
interface/display. The standard
version of the meter is provided
with a 4-20mA analog output and an RS485 interface that is field configurable for BACnet MS/TP® or Modbus® RTU. A second output signal configuration is available that includes a 4-20mA analog output and a programmable pulse output. The pulse output model is also available with HART. 

Features include:

  • Native BACnet® MS/TP or Modbus® RTU communication capability.

  • User interface with utility software capable of data logging, configuration and troubleshooting via micro USB port.

  • Zero flow validation with report generation capability.

  • Each F-5500 insertion meter is designed to be installed through a “retractor” assembly, allowing installation by hand in systems operating up to 60 psig.

  • FM approval for Class 1, Div. 1 installations.

  • Insertion meter available for use in pipe sizes ranging from 11⁄2’ through 24” in diameter.

  • Inline meter available for use in pipe sizes ranging from 3⁄4 through 6” in diameter.
